Now that you’ve demonstrated the ability to write more than 250 words, try applying it to your fiction. It may take off in whole new ways. I’m sure that’s the stage that all writers you mention *transcended* at some point.

Great post! I also loved the following pronouncement from Mr. Leyse:

“Poetry is a formal discipline that fraudulent poseurs are seeking to discredit via the sham known as ‘free verse.’”

“Are seeking”? This statement might have made some sense 80 or so years ago, but now?? Talk about head-in-the-sand syndrome. And the poetry on that website is atrocious, both by free-verse and formal standards.

I have decided that cutting corn tortillas,
heating the oven,
its a fucking process man…
i would say 86 percent of the time I have soggy chewy chips too. The kind that hurt your jaw.

I may try some with some saltless chips I got from wh*&*Fo*&^(conglomerate….)

Then the clean up…??? jesus
